What do you enjoy doing most on social networking sites?
Social Networking sites like My Space, Face Book, Friendster, Black Planet have redefined the way the web is used and how people interact. We are now a global community so we have launched this site to be a "family friendly" portal for positive people to share positive ideas, insights and trends. To this end, we need you to create a Home page (profile) and add your own unique flavor to our collective community vision and to invite your friends to participate.
Ideally, we hope empower urban communities with inside knowledge on web-based tools that can enhance their lives. We hope to do this by sharing with the Urban :: Thinking community ideas how to be web savvy consumers and to empower them to embrace their "inner entrepreneur" by utilizing a marketplace feature we will add to the site in upcoming weeks.
We hope for this site to become a hub of communication as well as a fun place to stay up on what is hot and new in the modern urban marketplace. In order to do this effectively, we need you to let us know what you want to see on the site.

This is a great manifesto for the community you started.
I'm very selective in the online communities I join because I find that nowadays I'm being asked to join some new community all the time. But I gravitate towards sites where I know I can connect with people of a like-mind, or similar interests. For me I generally connect with business-oriented sites where I might be able to pick up some new business or make contacts; others where I can get tips or find out about new technology or new applications that will make being a mobile entrepreneur easier, more efficient. I think LinkedIn is onto something with the new apps they've added to their mix.
I would love to see a regular rating, discussion on new iphone apps, since I know you guys are up on those.

Sites that have a more Techie grounding - I want the newest and freshest news about the Tech industry.
since your is heavily technological I want the newest info on what out there and trends of what the future may hold as well as a place to dialogue about that new app that say Apple released or the new hi tech phone especially made for whatever provider. And that that space be open for disagreement.

Thanks Film lover, I appreciate and value your comments (and I love a debate) and I am attempting to add more tech gadget oriented content -- especially, Apple products and iphone stuff (I am personally a iPhone fanatic). We are also trying to add more videos and Meme related stuff to keep the site fun.
I think we are slowly building a consensus on what the community is looking for from the site, and during the closed beta period this is exactly the feedback we need.
