We are currently missing the wide spread software distribution and widespread use of devices that support AR. As soon as it catches on we will see more implementation of useful content. As the article states, Advertisers will drive the market initially, but it will become most useful as consumers become content creators and use the technology in ways that help in their everyday lives.
